I’m Ashley, founder of VALT. I host pop-ups and shopping parties with local clothing, jewelry, and beauty brands.

My mission is to make motherhood feel a little less lonely—and a lot more fun—through fashion.

In 2016, I struggled with postpartum depression. Fashion lifted me out of that dark place, and I want women—moms in particular—to understand the power that getting dressed has on their mental health.

What began as a line of fun robes and jackets has become a community of people connecting over their love of bold, statement-making outfits.

Each month, I host pop-ups for my fellow fashion lovers on the hunt for original pieces to keep their closets current and fabulous. Above all, though, the shopping parties are about bringing people together to chat, laugh, and have a good time.

Follow VALT to stay in the know about upcoming pop-ups and events.

Carrie Bradshaw wrote for single New Yorkers—I write for suburb moms. Ask Ashley is a Substack newsletter and extension of VALT that explores the perks and perils of motherhood, marriage, friendships, and happiness.

Each week, I provide personal essays aiming to make readers laugh, feel seen, and be entertained through the lens of a modern mom trying to hold it together.

It’s free to subscribe, and you can cancel anytime. I hope you stick around, though.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m an open book on pretty much anything, and am always down to grab a glass of champagne with new friends and old as I believe champagne lunches with girlfriends are the cure to most of life’s problems.

Keep up with me by subscribing to my newsletter & following VALT on IG.

And if you have a clothing, jewelry, or beauty business local to Columbus and want to host a pop-up together, email me @ashley.lauren.alt@gmail.com.
